bball {paper}bag mini

well, it is almost done, close enough to post I guess!  Worked on this back in June/July and it is basically finished except for photos.  My son is a bball (basketball) freak, so now a days the majority of photos I have of him are either on the court or...on the court!

The album is made out of 4 Kraft Notion Bottle Bags sewn together at the fold.  Paper used is the Studio Calico Classic Calico (series one).  I had always bought this paper with this type of project in mind.  Love their basic colors, and if you know me...this is SO me!

I alternated the direction of the bags so that the pockets would be at the left and then the right side.  I also adhered the gusset on each opening so that it would hold the inserts a little better.

Itty Bitty Bags are also used throughout the mini as extra journaling pockets or for photos.

As you go through the photos here, you will see a pattern emerging....I have used a strip of the FabRips on every page, and there is usually a shipping tag and or die cut stickers used somewhere along the way.

The ink spots or blots are either the Tim Holtz stamp or made on my own with the Mister Huey's.

I made these butterfly tags a few months back by simply using up some product!  I took three Making Memories Paper Reverie Butterflies and sewed them down the middle on a shipping tag!

Each pocket houses two double sided 'tags/photomats'

hope you enjoyed...love to see your take on this too!
