A little insipration...

Here are some layouts I did while on spring break in CL. I was able to spend some quality time with Lynn and got to play with her stash. I did some girlie layouts and even did a few dude ones!

This first set is using good 'ol Jenni Bowlin, Rusty Pickle and varies flowers from her stash.

This set has some great shots and thought they went perfectly with Basic Grey's Euphoria. I also used more of her flowers and a Jenni Bowlin die cut label.

With the amazing shot Lynn took of Lex- I had little trouble once again pulling out the Basic Grey Euphoria. It was a perfect compliment. I also used Fancy Pants rub ons & biggest board flourishes.

This is a Halloween layout - Lex was a rocker chick! Lynn had some paper picked out already and a Hambly screen print (Giant Spider Web). I added the American Crafts Thickers 'Roller Rink' black glitter stickers. I had her blow up the one shot of Lex and then I put it under the screen print. The effect is very "eye catching!"

Once again I pulled out the Basic Grey Euphoria - I am thinking I may have used just about the entire pack! Like in all the layouts, I used ink to 'soften' the edges up (Tim Holtz's Distressing Inks Black Soot).

And finally I got to do a dude page! This is of Kris and a buddy at the lake just having some fun. Lynn was having a hard time on this one so I took it over and as simple as it is - I really like it. Here I used Little Yellow Bicycle's Zach Life papers and cardstock stickers.

Lynn really wanted to use up some older product so she could justify buying new now - hmmmm....never really thought of that! Have you?!?!?
Most products used here can still be purchased at http://www.wsquaredscrapbooking.com/
Good to know that my contributions aided her in being current - wish I could say the same! If I remember correctly I am at July 2007! After the upcoming retreat I am co-hosting is done - maybe then I will have some time to create for myself....wish me luck (I'm gonna need it)! Check out our blog at http://dvscrapnyap.blogspot.com we are gong to have a blast! Would love to see you there.

I've been scrapping!

Yes, you heard me right - I have actually been scrapping and creating! I was away last week and headed up to Cold Lake to visit family and friends - I got lots of scrapbooking done - none of my own - but did do loads! One thing I didn't do though was take photos (it's okay, I've called myself every name in the book already)!

I did create yet another Baby's First Year Portfolio - check it out!

Front view of the large 7 Gypsies portfolio; papers are SEI Be Bop and embellishments are JBS:

Inside of the portfolio; papers are SEI Be Bop and SU River Rock, die cut is JBS:
I used 7 9x12" landscape envelopes and used two sided tape to adhere them together. I inked them up and tucked the flap inside.
The inside sheet (one for each month) I created on word, put a mat on each so a photo of the baby could be attached. Two of these sheets go into each envelope pouch. Here is a view of it all opened up. Along with the monthly update sheets, there are two sheets that are used for Baby's First Year of Firsts & Favorites.I also took a composition book and covered it with Be Bop papers, MM Book Binding tape, TH Key, FP Mini Flowers, some JBS goodies and a little bit of this and that!
There is a photo of the works! I love making these - and they sure have evolved haven't they?! I am totally inspired by these things!
I am currently working on a colored Medium sized 7 Gypsies Portfolio using some of my favorite papers - JBS! Once it is done I will post it of course!
I will work on getting Lynn to take photos of the layouts I did while in Cold Lake and post them as well! Until then...
