New Product Arriving!

Hello my fellow creaters! Life has been pretty steady around here and yes, I have been neglecting the blog! I have started a Facebook page here (does that count?)!

Yes, I am here - just been hiding! No really....I have been hiding under mounds of paper and product!  It has been a busy fall for the shop and in life!

Loads of new products have been added to the shop and loads have been added to the sale aisle too.  Always just trying to make room for more.  I have so many ideas on the go and of course none are completed (story of my life..squirrel)!

I am sure you have all heard by now...yup there is yet another Special Edition Distress Ink Set on it's way!

Yay!  My pre-order has been submitted, so if you are after this be sure to email me and let me know so I can set aside a set for you.  Please be sure to let me know exactly what you are after - ie: Ink Pad set and/or re-inkers!  Note that there are Re-Inkers available for the past two sets as well!  There are limited quantities available so it is first come first reserve!

Changes, Notice & New?

If you have been over at the store site lately you will have noticed a few changes!  Good and bad...I agree.  With the shop continuing to grow (even overflow at times) - I have had to make a few changes with the site.   With the new software update for the site there are a few items that have had to change...more in the background for me - but some you will notice is that there are not always large thumbnails when you click on an item from the main page.  I will be going back and adding large thumbnails for items added as of April 1 only.  There is no way I can go back to the beginning as there is simply just too much!

The next thing you will see it that I have changed the layout to show 16 items per page vs the previous 12.  This should allow you to go through the items a lot faster!  I was having an issue with the 'New Items' link, but thankfully that has been fixed and back working the way it should, phew!

It is once again that time of year when I head out for the annual Spring Retreat in Tomahawk.  So having said that, the shop will be CLOSED from Thursday April 26 to Monday April 30 inclusive.  You can shop online (at your own risk) as inventory will NOT be accurate as I do take a lot of the product with me to the retreat.  Orders received during this time will be filled and shipped by Wednesday May 2.  Also note that I do not have internet access during this time, so I will not be able to answer any emails.


There are TONS of new items now in stock and of course more is on the way! This past few weeks alone there has been over 100 new items!  Coming in the next week is SIZZIX...finally!

hello...anybody there?

Yup, I'm here!  Buried under a chit load of snow, product, lists and just about everything else!  I had such big plans on partaking in the Creative Chemistry 101 Class over at Online Card Classes...but once again - life has just simply gotten in the way!  I do try and at least head over to the site daily to download the PDF's and watch a video or two (not doing so good right now)!

Like most of  Eastern Alberta - we too got dumped on Monday afternoon till early Tuesday morning...just a mere 10" in 12 hours!  Thankfully it was a snow day on Tuesday so my son and I headed out to clear the driveways, garage pads and front walk (so good 'ol UPS could arrive) and three hours later...good enough is what I said! It warmed up and we didn't lose any snow..it just 'compacted' it!  Now as I type this tonight...what is it doing, you guessed it - SNOWING!  There is already a good 3+ inches out there.  Mother Nature...I think it is time I have a chat with your Superior, you are not making a lot of friends around here!

There has been so much new product arriving here almost daily - the UPS driver has a chuckle every time he comes here saying I think I see you more than my wife!  So what is new you ask - don't think I could even venture to list it all, best thing for you to do is head over to the site and go through the 346 pages of stock or just check out the first ten pages which has been added just over the last week alone!  But just to name a few...

perfect for creating that next 'altered' project...venture out a little - I dare ya!

  try a new technique...be adventurous and get a little inky!

vintage you say...heck ya!  Why not a little bit more while we are at it...

If you have been hiding under a rock, you may not have heard that the master is having an on-line class!  I signed up pretty quick...I can't wait to take the class.  I think it will be great to have all the info in one place!  I don't know about you - but whenever I find a new trick or technique - I print it off, save it on the computer, scribble notes on a piece of paper, make notes and sketches in my scribbler (or should I say scribblers) then try and find it again later or totally forget about it because it is nowhere to be found in my creative space(s)!

Did you ever...

...just have one of those great ideas.  Well I know I have had a few over the years and as usual do nothing with it (them) and next thing you know...BAM...there it is  - showcased by someone else!  Well at least now I know it was a great idea cause good ol' Mr Tim has showcased it!

Check out the link to a video he has done showcasing honeycomb paper.  The sad thing is - or probably not overly surprising thing - he has done way better than I ever would have!  The man never ceases to amaze me!

Distress Stains...

So loads have been asking me, 'S0 , really - do I need these?' All I am gonna say...'do you really need me to answer that?'


So I have been scouring the net (in my spare time) for information for you all as to why you really need these in your stash. There is some pretty good stuff out there...here goes!

Distress Stains from Ranger Ink are a fluid water-based dye for papers and other porous surfaces. Use these for quick and easy ink coverage for backgrounds and larger areas. Apply layers of stain to achieve more saturated color. The brushed nylon dabber top has a built-in spring valve. This allows for controlling the release of Distress Stains from the bottle. By pressing the dabber top down onto surface, the valve opens and fluid releases. Lift dabber away from surface to stop fluid flow. Spread Distress Stains by swiping the dabber top lightly as a brush across the surface. Combine Distress Stains with Distress Stickles, Distress Inks, Distress Crackle Paints and Distress Embossing Powders to create unique projects that reflect a crafter’s style.

Currently there are ONLY 12, yes TWELVE colors available - but I pretty sure we will see more! The newly released stains are the same as colors that are in his 'family' now - spun sugar, fired brick, wild honey, peeled paint, forest moss, weathered wood, broken china, faded jeans, dusty concord, antique linen, vintage photo and walnut stain.

I did come across a lady after my own heart though...read this while on my search...what I don't do for you all!
