ya I know, but I love it!

I have been on such a roll lately - even though some have given me a few more grey hairs and even had me pulling out some! But hey, I am up to October of 2006! That has to account to something, right?!

So this one is a bit of a back track - missed it and and was able to fit it in. This is one of the ones that gave me a headache - not a favorite - but it is done.

supplies: SU! patterned papers

This one is from Norman Wells - the last big quading trip before the move. We headed up to Discovery Ridge. This is when the infamous mountain tumble happened. Me, a mountain, a quad and me coming out on the bottom of it all - literally! But the scenery - can't be beat. Well worth all the bumps, bruises and aching bones/muscles.

Supplies: Scenic Route 'Ashville' patterned papers

This is a very simple layout of Bob & Drake walking on the lawn and just talking - love it.

This is Drak'e first day on the bus and of School!

supplies: Foof-a-la 'Red, Black & Cream'; MM chipboard covered in Foof-a-la; SU! Hardware in pewter

okay, now this one gave me a huge headache not to mention a few grey hairs and me even pulling out a few! I worked on this one for two days. After destroying three or more sheets of paper and tearing up an layout - this is what I ended up with. I like it, even if there is no journaling on it! Although hidden behind some of the papers on the clipboard, there are the teachers & TA's names.
supplies: SU! patterned papers; PC clipboard, SU! chipboard, SU! punch
Well that is it for now - trying to get 2006 done before I head to a croping retreat in April! Wish me luck.

okay, I may be a little obsessed!

Here are a few more layouts of NW. these were taken the day they were packing us up - took a break to the neighbors to get away from the chaos!

Supplies: ya, you guessed it - October Afternoon patterned papers; traced arrow from a Scenic Route die cut sheet; buttons (SU!) are decorated with more OA; jewels are K&Co. I also used the SU! spiral punch.

More pictures from NW - the layout make me think...1 kid, 2 kid, 3 kid? NO says Nik!

Supplies: umm...OA and the chipboard (covered in OA) is SU!

Here is a two page lo showing the crazy schedule until be flew out. and of course the packing and loading of the truck. Found a great quote to finish up the page..."Don't cry cause it is over, smile because it happened" by Dr Suess!

Supplies: PP is all Fancy Pants; Solid is BB; Journaling card is Fancy Pants as is the rub on on the BB chipboard!

Here are a couple of 'memory' pages! Ang & Drake helping me clean and then Drake and I went for a drive and I took a few pictures that I had not yet added to my huge file of NW memories!

Supplies: "a&d" is the rest of Fancy Pants and BB(solids) and the chipboard is BG. Next is all Basic Grey!

These two are in Cold Lake now! We spent a great day out on Marie Lake with Derek & Amy on his jet boat. We had a large group of family with us - those photos are in a different album - but trust me it was loads of fun!

Supplies: I think this is the last of Piggy Tales! Everything except the brads and photo turns are PT!

These final two are more from CL, this time at Kinosoo Beach with friends. We had a great afternoon with Seth & Ayva. Seth loves hanging out with this friend Drake - he acts so grwon up and has very intellegent conversations - just check him out!

Supplies: PP is all Fancy Pants; flowers are Prima; CB is Fancy Pants; CS is BB; ribbon is from my stash!

Until next time gang....Now I am working on the photo's of us moving in!

Hey...I'm (still) scrapping!

It is amazing what a few sheets of awesome paper will do to you! I have been is in such a slump and then seeing some great papers at the LSS - I am busy doing pages like crazy!

Here is what I have done the last few days...

This is the second half of the last one posted sunday. Pictures from Carcajou Falls (04/06).

Supplies: PP is Rusty Pickle; CS is SU!; computer font is TT Elementric; inks are Colorbox

Some fun summer pictures. Water balloons are a staple in out house - it is amazing what a buck at the dollar store will do and how much fun we can have with it. Half an hour of filling up, tie a few knots and 20 seconds later....soaking wet and no more balloons! But, man do we have some fun!

Supplies: PP is October Afternoon; CS is SU!; cloth tags are Ting-a-Lings from Carolee's Creations

It's all in the hair! I think that is why I took so many pictures of him while he was into the long hair (it even gets longer)!

Supplies: PP is October Afternoon; CS is SU!; metal embellishments are SU! (Hodgepog Hardware) and ribbon is piggy tales

I have two more on the go right now - will post once finish! I am just so happy that I am once again inspired!

k - this one done. It was bit time consuming as I decided I wanted to cut out flowers (can you say dumb a$$) Really like the effect though, especially the flower on the butt!

Supplies: Allpapers are Piggy tales; lettering are Heidi Swapp's Ghost letters

page two of a double spread...these pictures were taken just before we left NW. A very hot day and needless to say water was a huge of the day. Once again I cut out some extra flowers for some added impact. Also, there is some writing around one of the flowers - punch words for our friends.

Hey...I'm scrapping again!

About time isn't it?! Got six - yes SIX - pages done this weekend. Off to a good start I would say. Did four pages saturday and two today - only worked up until Super Bowl and then of course took a break! So here goes...

This is Drake's '10' birthday (I know I a bit behind considering he is going to be 12 in two weeks). This page was completed twice as I did not like the first one! Not sure how much more I even like this one - but hey, it's done!
Supplies: October Afteroon patterned papers; SU! & Bazzill solid cardstocks; '!' I traced from a Tim Holtz grunge board pack (the negative side) onto the October Afternoon pp; ribbon is American Crafts; button is SU! with a piece of October Afternoon under it for accent.

This one is more of Drake's 10th Birthay. He only had one friend over as all - and I do mean ALL of his friends were either in Yellowknife at the big hockey tournament or on holidays. I guess that is what happens when you are a winter baby! It was a balmy -37 and daylight, what more could you ask for?

Supplies: Not much! Pattern papers are once again October Afternoon; Solid Cardstock is SU!; Stamp is 7 Gypsies.

Yet another of the birthday. This is of the boys making dinner! They had tacos and cupcakes! NUMMO! I got my inspiration for this one from an issue of Simple Scrapbooks (last year) - I really like it and of course with my addiction to patterned paper - I had a blast doing it!

Supplies: Patterned Papers are once again - October Afteroon (I can't help it - I love it); Solid Cardstock is SU!; Rub-Ons are Beary Batch; Punch is SU! tab and Marvy Scallop Circle; Fibers are Basic Grey Motifica; computer font is 2Peas Billboard

Now we are onto Easter of '06 so that means April! Man how times flies! I think this one speaks for it's self...don't you?

Supplies: All papers are Piggy Tales; Epoxy letter is Pressed Petals

Easter morning (the last easter egg hunt in NW and for Drake). I guess when you kid says "You know Mom, I know that you are the one that hides it all, but I do like the candy" that about says it all!

Supplies: All papers once again Piggy Tales; Chipboard letters are also Piggy Tales as is the 'barn door' which is the hidden journaling piece at the bottom (under the flower which are Keepsake Memories and Prima combined). These are cool - you should check them out!

Okay, still in April...this is from a helicopter trip to Carcajou Canyon with Russ & Pat. Russ had won the trip in a Golf tourney and asked us to join them. I got the front seat (Thanks Russ!) mostly due to my inability to keep the contents of my stomach in my stomach when in a helicopters back seat! You can see by Drake's face (minus the glare of the flash on this layout) it was a tad 'cool' once we landed at the falls!
Supplies: All Rusty Pickle patterned papers except the arrow which is Scenic Route; the letters are SU! Chipboard that I covered with more Rusty Pickle papers (this is the reverse side of the strip paper).
So with any luck I will continue on my quest to get more layouts done this week. But looking at the time (12:45am) I am pretty sure I should be signing off as 7 am comes too early for this old body!
