Bo Bunny Word Books

Here are a couple more items I worked on for Christmas gifts. They are made out of Bo Bunny Word Albums. The two I chose to make are "Believe."

The first one was made for Carla and family. The patterned papers coordinate with the papers on the advent calendar I made earlier for the kids. Accents are Kaiser Rhinestones, Basic Grey Fibres, SU! Ribbons, SBS Florals, SEI Rhinestone Brads. All the solid cardstock used inside are SU! It is all decorated and ready to go, all she has to do is add photos of the kids!

This one was made for Christa and family. The patterned papers are all SU! Dashing, Cardstock, rhinestones and ribbon are also SU! Note: You can't see all the rhinestones as I added more after I had taken the picture.
These are way too cute and aside from the cutting, not that hard (just time consuming) - but as you can see, well worth it!
I am on a mission right now trying my darnedest to get photos uploaded to Wallyville - but the site has crashed. I must be from all the people uploading their Xmas pix! I am trying to do my 2006 pix!!!! They have a special on (.10/print) which really helps when you are trying to get 200+ pictures done!
Well off for now - hopefully I will be able to be a bit creative this week (okay, this year) and I will share as I go!

calendar layout

Here is a layout I did for Mom Ward's annual calendar. I love this picture! I used a quote I found on line for it and love the simplicity of the layout. I really like taking tight shots and this is one of my favorite of Drake...

This year the calendar has several quotes in it. I just wish I would have thought of it sooner and I would have had a quote for every month - well there is always next year! The picture is black and whote and therefore I have used black and white papers and rub-ons. It looks crooked because it is...I have purposely tilted it all and love the look!

So I can now say I did 12 layouts this month! Have a good one...

A few more works of art!

These are simular to the ones I made earlier, but this time they are made with 4x6" cards. Same idea though. Love the paper though! Again, used my Bind-it-all machine!

This is a travel journal I made for an Uncle (on behalf of my Mom)
Once again used my Bind-it-all machine and made everything from scratch. The insides are printed onto cardstock (white) with enough pages for two trips! There is pages of questions, pages for notes, pages for thought of the day, pages for summary of the trip and a pocket page for mementos.

The twill that runs down the front is actually meant to use as a page marker.

Think that is about all I have had time for lately! Hoping in the new year I will have some more time to get into the scrapping! I still have a couple of calendars to make before Christmas....wish me luck!

Birth Announcements

Here is the first mock of the birth announcements. Looked better in my head I must say! Thought the brown and green would be awesome. Can't say as I really like it. I then decided to try an all green - really like that one! Until I did a bunch of prepping and used up most of the certain celery (except for 4 sheets)! Needless to say I had to improvise once again, so I decided with the white inside (and ribbon too). I like it too, just not as much as the all green - but I am sure it will be okay and I will get over it! The card style is Criss Cross inspired from SCS.

So here is a listing of the supplies:
Cardstock is SU! - Chocolate Chip, Certain Celery & White
Ribbon is SU! - Celery & White
Patterned Paper is SU! - PDS Certainly Celery
Jewel - Kaiser Krafts
Stamp - Sunshine Design 'Baby Cube'
Computer Font - 2Peas Squish
Inks - Versamark (on the green paper) Certain Celery (on white paper)

Ran the border through my crimper and used the rectangular handheld punch for running the ribbon and adhered with two sided tape. Well off to finish the rest!

oops...

...notice the other day that I double posted the holloween treat project - oops! Well it is cute enough to post twice I guess! This week I have made a few new things....

This is the Book Club Journal I was talking about before - was very time consuming to create, but now that it is done - it shouldn't take as long to make the next one (?!). It turned out great don't you think? I used my BIA - this way I was able to create the inside pages how I wanted. I did this on word.

I have sections that say: Club Readings - and enough pages to record 12 books;Meeting Dates; Book Suggestions; Borrow/Loan; Notes; and a pocket page for keepsakes. I also included a bookmark for the journal itself as well as a personalized one for the current book being read. Products used: Foofala printed papers, SU cardstock Naturals Ivory & Mellow Moss; Fibres are Basic Grey Hang Ten; Jewels are Kaiser; Flowers are Scrapbook Sally; Chipboard "P" is SU; Jewel brad is SU; Bookplate is SU; computer font is Angelina.

Then I got some inspiration from I think it was a post at SCS of a girl that made an address book using index cards. I off course went a few steps further and came up with these...

I made the covers using left over pieces of chipboard and got the index cards (printed on both sides) from the $store as well as the dividers. The package had 100 index cards, and the dividers had 25 lettered and 25 blank. Only a buck per pkg! So after I finished putting the address one together...I got to thinking I could use the blank ones and stamp the months on the tabs using my MM date set. Pretty cool, eh?! Oh course I wanted to use something different with the names of the books, so I called them "Address this" and "Celebrate." Haven't decided yet if I am going to do anything else with them yet or just leave them - time will tell!

Address This: Paper is FooFala; index cards & dividers from $ store; bookplate SU; computer font is once again Angelina; inking Colorbok

Celebrate: FooFala papers; $store index cards & dividers; MM date stamp; bookplate SU; computer font Angelina; inking Colorbok.
Guess that is it for now - should actually try and get some work done around the house for a change! As I know I will soon be starting the birth announcements for Christa!

Keeping busy...

Here are the cute little pumkin poops I made for some special kids. I wish I could remember who I got the idea from (it was online) so I could give credit (sorry)! It is made with SU! papers and ribbon from Wal-Mart. Just put the cheesies into cello bags and tide them up! Cute aren't they?!

These are advent clipboards that I made for a couple really special families. Thought they would be fun for the kids to help count down to Christmas!
The Clipboards are from an office supply store and the papers are Websters Pages (Winter Wonderland Collection); fibres are Basic Grey; snowflakes are WRMK; stamps are Autumn Leaves; inks are Colorbok.

This is a card for a very specila two year old. It is my take on a card I saw on the internet and by the time I was done - really didn't look anything like it! Mine is vertical - hers was horizontal; hers had two squares on front - mine has one; and the list goes on. But alas - that is why it is called inspiration right?! The inside has a cute verse and a little pocket for something extra.

Currently I am working on a journal for a book club that is turing out really cool. I am using my newest toy - BIND IT ALL! This is a must have for all people who like to create! I made it from scratch - literally! I used chipboard and covered it to create the cover, created a templete on the computer for the pages and have it divided into sections. Made a journal bookmark to keep her place in the journal as well as a coordinating one for the book being read! I made a neat pocket page at the back to put in keepsakes or notes. Once it is finished I will post to share!

Well I should run for today. Got loads to do and it ain't getting done sitting here! Have a good one, keep creating....

Busy, Busy, Busy!

I have actually been scrapbooking! Imagine that! These are a few of the last pages that will get the Cruise of '06 done and off my desk! These are done via challenges that I do with a bunch of friends. It is supposed to motivate us - but none of us are all that motivated lately. Hoping this will inspire me to get going again - afterall, I am still working on Feb of 06 pictures in Drake's album! Going to be a long winter to try and get caught up! Most of the papers used in these layouts are Basic Grey's Skate Shoppe. The cardstocks are SU! Any questions on the rest - just ask!

Once I find the pictures I took of the other stuff I will post them as well - but for now this will have to do! I really should sign off for now and see about getting some work done - I am a very messy creative person so now I have to find some more creativity in this mess!

Today's the Day...

I am going down to my work room and getting things done! I have been so busy with other shiny objects that I really need to get this done as I have a huge guilt complex happening! I have stuff to send out to Carla in CL and keep putting it off - cause I want to add something else. Well today I will get it all done and hopefully even shipped out today if not tomorrow! A couple of the items are early Christmas gifts for the kids - so I best get going.
I often wonder if it has something to do with fact that I know Christa is due any time now that I am putting it of as I could send her some stuff at the same time! Nope, not waiting...I am off...

A Cool New Find...

Found this file/paper holder at Wal-Mart this week and thought it would be great for my 12x12 papers that are on my desk. I have the Cropper Hopper 12x12 holders (look like magazine holders) that stay on my shelves, but thought this would be a great addition to my desk for ongoing projects. I was only $7.96 and measures 12.75" wide x 11' tall (at front and 12.75" at back) x 5" deep. It even comes with over sized file folders! Note a huge fan of the pattern - but hey, isn't that what altering is all about?!

Finally....

A place to show you what I have been working on (in case you are interested)! It has been a very busy fall and I have been working on many projects:

Birth Announcements & Babies First Year of Memories (For Carla & Taras)

The patterned papers are Scrapworks; solids are SU!; ribbons are SU! (i think); the folio is 7G's. This is a project I have done in the past however I had done on a clipboard. So with it being twins this time I thought it may be easier to try and contain all the papers and make it simple for Carla. The card format I got online somewhere (sorry I can't remember who to give credit to). I am known for my folds and different cards. I am not one to do a simple half fold - so I am always on the hunt and always seem to find some good ones! I will have to start writing down credits for these I guess.

I made a cool card for (another) Carla's son First Birthday (which is still sittin on my desk awaiting mail out) so I really shouldn't post it until I mail it out I guess (incase she peeks)!

Did these really cool Halloween projects that I gave to special kiddies (and some that too are awaiting mail outs...hmmmm...sounds kinda like a pattern is presenting itself doesn't it?!

I have started on a few of my Christmas crafts as well. This year I am making some great items that the kids will get early so they can enjoy them (hinting, but that is all you get).

I have also been getting some great new items in the 'money pit' (my new name for the room) so am anxious to get going on them. I have so many ideas and so little time! So on that note - I should run for now. Was trying to post a few more pix but I keep getting an error message so it will have to wait until later.....
