Done....

Well not totally - photo's still need to be added of course! I ended up adding more to it than the directions told me too (like stated in previous post)

I used some of my cardstock stash that I felt coordinated well with the colors and made inserts for the four envelopes. Inked them all up and added some extra die cuts and or stamped images. I made an extra file folder with a sheet of cream cardstock and then used some more of the extra materials.
This is what is left over! Not bad, eh?! One other thing I will say about the directions in regards to using the Bond-it-All...I only did nine holes instead of the stated 10 as it would have been uneven then (would have drove me crazy)!

I added the office clips (like suggested) but then added ribbons (SU! & Offray). Now I want to make the Jillibean Soup one...or should I go outside...or should I work in the office...or should I ..... Have a great weekend everyone! Remember next week more items are due in - Collage Press and more Teresa Collins! Until them....

Creative day....

Just a quick one to let you know I did the Teresa Collins Document Envelope Book this afternoon. I 'punched' all the stuff our last night from the sheets and then this afternoon I inked it all up and assembled the four envelopes and 'cut' and 'copied' what I needed and got to work.

Now here are some things you will need:
  • Scor-Pal (straight edge & bone folder work just fine)
  • punches (various size circles are best)
  • ink pads (I used Tim Holtz Distress Inks Black Soot & Fired Brick)
  • adhesive (1/8" or 1/2" for assembling the envelopes and your choice for the rest)
  • bind it all (if you want to make it the way they say, or you can use binder rings just as easily)

The extra papers left over I am choosing to use on the album itself and add some more pages as there is plenty of room for it. Since this is a kit and the stamps are not actually included (they provide you with stamped copies on white cardstock), I made copies of this sheet on my printer on white, cream and kraft cardstock before cutting them up. Also there is a 12x12 sheet of Life Tags that you are required to cut out - after a rough cut of these, I did the same thing as the stamped images! Now I have the images to use on different versions of this book I intend on making (I have an idea on using this with the Jillibean Soup line). All the pages are together but I have not bound it nor have I added the photo's as I do not know which I want to use yet! This album easily allows you to do that as long as you don't bind it. The directions are clear, however a few times I had to reread parts as I was a bit confused but did figure it out eventually. One thing I will say is that the directs first tell you to punch out all the envelopes and die cuts to prepare and then two steps later they tell you to follow the directions on the envelope die cut sheets to assemble them - needless to say, on the back of all the die cuts you just punched out are all the directions!

I will take some photos of book so far later tonight (after the basketball game - go Cav's) so you can see how it is coming together and my interpretation of it. It is pretty close, just a few minor changes!

My Room Runnith Over....

(is that really how one spells runnith?) Heck if I know...but that is how it will stay!

This week has been chalked full of orders coming in and out! All new stuff that has arrived this week is on the site (finally)! Some of you that popped over this week were lucky enough to see my room at it's prime(mess) with all the new goodies!

This week marked the arrival of some of the new lines - Teresa Collins & Stampers Anonymous. Not to mentions new Jenni Bowlin Front Porch, more & replenished 7 Gypsies (like I do not have enough of that already - no I don't), Tim Holtz, and finally Maya Road Sheers have been restocked (along with a few new ones)!

Let's start with Teresa Collins - where does one start....

This is one creative lady and I have been using her stuff for a long time and am happy that she is out on her own (used to be with Junkitz) and more creative than ever! She has this amazing Envelope Book that is available in a kit. It comes loaded with just about everything you need to finish the project - even the Bind it All O Wire if you so choose! But don't feel you have to use that option! You could use binder rings, ribbon, clips....check out your local office supply store for great inspirations!
There is also 7"x13" chipboard covers in black or white (scalloped or tabbed) to make your own cool altered book! But it that is not your cup of tea...wait until next week as I have kits coming to make your brain work a little bit less! Full detailed instructions are included in all these kits!

I have several of her 'Travelogue' Die Cut Sheets that have four shapes per sheet. These can be easily combined and made into a mini book, once again with your choice of bindings! Or simply use them as journaling spots on a layout or add them to a mini book for added fun. I hope to do some playing with these soon as my mind is awhirl with ideas for uses!

Her 8x8 papers will be fun to use on their own or once again Incorporated on larger 12x12 sheets of your liking! The papers can be bought in value packs or individually.

Then there are the 8x8 transparencies! Available two ways...the entire 'Crush' set (six)

or you can go with the entire 8x8 collection of Teresa Collins transparencies....

Let's move on for a bit to Stampers Anonymous! I have a load of Tim Holtz Collection in and a load already gone (sorry)! If you have not ever tried these - you are in for a treat! I have never used a stamp that takes the ink (Tim Holtz's Distressed Inks of course) so well! I created a cool binder for myself to keep track of all my orders (special & pending) it turned out great! I will take some photo's and post them later! Here are just a few of the stamps available right now...

Fairytale Frenzy

Slight Alterations

Ornate Collages

Creative Collages

World Traveler

This is just to name a few (there are more on their way, due in early next week)! Well that is it for now...I will post more later (have to run and pick up my kid from school), but in the mean time head over to the store to see it all for yourself!

Coming Soon!

The store is doing well and I am always on the hunt for the next best thing (or what I lovingly call Shiny Objects)! I have got a hold of some new suppliers and will be bringing in some new lines as well as expanding on some favorites!

Another item I am excited about is the ATG 700 Gun - I can bring this in at a very good price and am sure you all are going to want one if you don't already have one! I will also stock the refills for it and can get the 1/4" adapter for those that need it!

Keep an eye on the site and new products are always found on the front page as well the 'New Products' link on the left hand side.

Thanks for stopping by - hope to see you again soon!

Successful Retreat!

I was part of a group of four ladies that hosted a retreat May 1-3. We had a blast and a lot of fun and creativity was had by all. One thing we did was have a donation table for the HW Pickup Junior High School Scrapbooking option. The ladies really came out and helped us out! We got a large box loaded up with product (new & used) to give to the class.

Then I put together some items from my stash of older CM product that I haven't touched in years....Then along with the money raised from our mystery box auction I pulled some product out of the sale bins from my store to make sure they had a good round selection!I think they should be set for a bit - but if anyone out there has some inks, pens & more adhesives they would be willing to part with - they could use it! I gave them a bunch of stamps and a few ink pads to tide them over as well.

I have not been up too so much as far as actually scrapbooking lately (although I did do a few pages for Gillian while she was here for the retreat). Speaking of Gillian - have I told you lately how much help she was to me at the retreat...you ROCK GIRL!

I am bummed that she is moving though - all the way to Milk River! Well - I guess it is my turn to go to a retreat down there now! She's been to two here and I have only been to one there! (Gillian, aren't you proud of me that I didn't put that other picture on here?!?!?)

I have some ideas to make some cool new stuff - now to just sit down and make it! Oh, those damn Shiny Objects.....
